Hi! Thanks for visiting the my site. My name is Jason Ross and I am originally from Dekalb, although I have lived in Rockford the majority of my life. I took up photography a few years ago when I bought a Nikon N60 at K's merchandise. I have always loved the outdoors and doing things like camping, fishing, and hiking, so that was naturally what I began to photograph. I now have a Nikon F5 that I got off eBay and a Minolta Dimage 7i digital camera. For some reason I like shooting film more than digital though. Perhaps because I first bought a film camera, don't really know. I'll probably go all digital eventually, can't live in the past forever. I've got a decent collection of photos of the area now, and putting everything up on this site is an ongoing project. I have many photos displayed, but I will continue to add more. I am currently a junior at the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater and major in Biology, which keeps me pretty busy. I hope to study abroad next year in Australia!
