Lib Conservation Area Interesting Information- Was acquired by the conservation district in the 1970's, prior to that it was mostly agricultural. - It basically connects to Distillery Road CA which is across the river. - Location Between Rockford & Belvidere Size - acres TerrainMostly wooded, some savanna area by parking lot and backwaters of the river. Trails A couple miles Links Conservation District Site Further Insights Lib has pretty nice trails, it is maybe half a mile to the river from the parking lot. There are some shallow backwaters on the left trail that dry up when there is a large absence of rain. If you go to the river, there is a big sandbar, kind of by the beautiful powerlines crossing overhead! It is a kinda nice spot to relax if you're stressed out. It is a nice photo spot if you can digitally remove the powerlines somehow. Too much of a task for my undertaking now I'm afraid.
