Information
- Has the southernmost native stand of white pines.
- The area was acquired by the state in 1927.
- The Black Hawk Indians used to inhabit this area.

Further Insights
I've been here many times throughout the years. The trails are nice and have cool views. None are too long. You actually drive over concrete causeways where the river fows over the top, so you basically drive throught the river! I think they release rainbow trout in the stream every year, the fishing doesn't seem that great overall though.
