Rotary Road Forest Preserve Interesting Information- The Rockford Rotary Club donated the area to the Forest Preserve District in 1980. - - Location Rockford Size 78 acres TerrainAlong Kishwaukee River and all heavily wooded. Trails 2.9 miles Links W.C.F.P.D. Site Further Insights Rotary Road is a great place to go in the fall, the colors are spectacular. It is across the river from Kishwaukee Gorge and upstream a bit, and the two areas are similar. If you walk down along the river toward the huge bridge (I-39) there is an old brick structure that looks to be the remains of some old cabin. There isn't really a trail, but it is neat.
